A Significant Challenge
Introduction: Generally, our logo is a bird, one of the animals that can fly around. On the top of the logo, there are Chinese and Canadian national flags. In this case, we can compare our students in Sino-Canadian Program as the bird that will fly from China to Canada for better education. On the other hand, from the expression of the beautiful bird, we can also deduce that our students must have royal quality and great ambition. Basically, our bird is composed of various types of geometric objects. And here is a list of their properties we used in our logo:
1. Square A square has four lines which are congruent and parallel to each other. All four angles are 90 degree and the diagonal bisects the other diagonals and also the angles while the diagonals are perpendicular respectively. The adjacent sides are perpendicular. While the square is a symmetrical figure at the center, it divides the polygon into four congruent isosceles triangles (Two angles are 45 degree). Square is a special rectangle.
2. Equilateral Triangle An acute triangle with all angles and sides congruent, the angle is 60 degree. It is also known as the isosceles triangle with one 60 degree angle. The sum of two sides is greater of the third side and the difference of two sides is smaller than the third one. Each bisector, altitude and angular bisector of a side is coincident. Equilateral triangle is a symmetrical figure and it has three symmetric axes, each bisector, altitude and angular bisector of a side locates in the symmetric axes. The circumcenter, incenter, orthocenter and center of gravity are the center of circle.
3. Isosceles Triangle A triangle has two congruent sides and two base angles are also congruent. The sum of two sides is greater of the third side and the difference of two sides is smaller than the third one. The angular bisector of the vertex is the same as the bisector and altitude of base. The two angular bisectors of the base are equal. Similarly, the two
