Hawaii is a state that attracts tourists because of its history, geography, entertainment, and culture. It is well known for its volcanoes, beaches, and climate. For these reasons, tourism is the main thing Hawaii is known for. The expenses are very high but we planned this since last three years and save money for it. My family has six people including me. We went there by flight .It took about 13 hours to reach the Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu, from Yangon Airport. It is a very long time and we spent that 13 hours boringly. We arrived at about 11; 30 AM. Once we got to the airport, I stepped out of the flight gate and i was in the another world.

The introduction of the “Value of Hawai'i” talks about how the cover of this book has a deeper meaning to it than what it is perceived as. For instance, the cover talks about many changes that has happened, the betrayal, the endeavors, abolishing the native language and how Hawai'i is portrayed as a paradise, but in paradise, there are still many issues people face. For example, America has agonized Hawaii as Osorio stated: “United states has ignored its own laws , and certainly the laws of a sovereign nation, to terrorize Hawaii and take possession of nearly half its property.” Altogether, Hawaii isn't always what it’s perceived to be.…

In Hawaii, however, you become a part of a brand new experience that you have probably never experienced before. Beaches there are not lined from end to end with restaurants and rental shops; instead, they are lined with palm trees and all of their untouched, natural wonders that have been there since the islands formed. In Hawaii, you get away from the “real” world and get a chance to experience the rich island culture that you might never have known about. The hustle and bustle of the inner city life and the monotonous nine to five job of the suburban life are not seen in Hawaii. It is very relaxed, and every day seems like it is a new adventure waiting for you to discover it. The food in Hawaii is also a departure from something that you could get any other day. There are…

Since “Hawaii is one of the most isolated places on Earth” it makes vacationing there completely stress and worry free, because you are far away from home and nothing on your mind but having a great vacation (Neri p.4).…

Born in Honolulu ,Hawaii on the island of Oahu, I lived there for two and a half years. At almost three years old I moved to a small town in the San Joaquin Valley; Hanford, California. I've grown up in a nice home in a well located area in Hanford. But growing up in Hanford I know only what I have seen here and learned about from inside the community. I didn't know much about Hawaii besides being born there and that my grandparents live there. But years later in the summer of 2014, I took a trip to back to the islands of Hawaii.…

Honolulu was the first island we went to. We stayed on Waikiki Beach. Waikiki Beach is the most famous beach in Hawaii. Waikiki Beach is known for its spectacular surfing. Many movies have been filmed on this beach over the years. We stayed at the world famous Royal Hawaiian Hotel which has also been the host site for many Hawaiian movies. While we were in Honolulu we learned how to surf and we visited Pearl Harbor. Surfing I think was the hardest thing I have ever done but it was still so much fun. I think I got up at least once however it didn’t last for long as a huge wave wiped me out. My brother got up every time. He was much better than myself and became very good. Our next visit was Pearl Harbor. Pearl Harbor was awesome to see because of all the old tools they used during the war. Pearl Harbor was a very educational stop on our trip. We learned the history of events leading up to the unexpected bombing of this American military base. While at Pearl Harbor we toured the museum and watched a video of the actual bombing. We then visited a memorial to the many American soldiers killed in the bombing. We toured a submarine and took a ferry to board the sunken Missouri ship which still entombed many soldiers. Our final evening in Honolulu we attended a native Luau. We were entertained by Hawaiian hula dancers and fire twirling men. We also watched the Hawaiian men climb coconut trees with their bare feet and hands and paddle hand carved canoes. Finally we enjoyed a meal of roasted pig which cooked all day in the ground. This may have been the highlight of our stay in Honolulu.…
