2.) This movie is based on the bestseller written by Nicolas Sparks. When bad boy Landon is forced to clean up his act, he must cross paths with the awkward school geek and preacher’s daughter, Jamie. The two grow close against the wishes of their opposing clique and family, but are faced with even more troubling struggles when Jamie reveals a terrible secret. This movie shows how powerful love can be, and how with a little hope and faith, you can conquer anything
3.) The movie begins with the initiation of the new kid into Landon’s gang of friends. But when the new kid gets seriously injured attempting the initiation task, Landon has to take the blame. Although Landon easily lies his way through the police, his principal decides to arrange appropriate punishment to improve Landon’s life decisions.
4.) Through the new activities that Landon is forced to participate in, he encounters Jamie, who slowly shows him that there is more to life than being the popular bad boy. The two eventually fall in love, against the wishes of Landon’s clique and Jamie’s disapproving father. She shows him that with a little faith, the world is not such a terrible place. Jamie has completely changed Landon into a better person, and he has never been so grateful. But when Landon learns that Jamie has leukemia and has decided to stop responding to treatment, he does everything he can to make her precious time on Earth special, including granting her every wish on her bucket list.
5.) There is not a resolution to the problem, because there is no way to avoid Jamie’s sickness. However, Landon does everything in his willpower to make her as happy as she can be, including granting her number one wish, to be married in the Church where her mother grew up.
