A Young Earth
Is it surprising that scientific evidence supports a young earth perspective?
Is it surprising that there are scientists that believe in a literal Genesis?

To me, it is not surprising that scientific evidence support a young earth perspective because the Scripture which I believe is the owner’s manual of the earth proved beyond any reasonable doubt that the age of this earth is in thousands and not millions or billions years as believed by evolutionist. I commend the efforts and all the hard work of the brave team of seven creation scientists from Institute for Creation Research for their success of completing eight- year’s research project known as RATE, or Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth. According to RATE, for over a hundred years, evolutionists have insisted that the earth is billions of years old, and have arrogantly dismissed any views contrary to the belief. The results and Scientifics evidence of RATE outcome were fascinating; some of which are listed on their web site. Evolution Science evidence supporting the age of the earth changes from time to time as new development or new experiment shows up from time to time. But as for the Bible, the original manuscripts does not change it remains same forever. “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.” 1
Many scientists and creationist are Bible believing Christian like Isaac Newton, Edward Blyth, Kurt Wise, and Inn Taylor who is the president of creation research Family Radio, Oakland, CA and host of others who believe in a literal Genesis as the word of God which is accurate and without any error, also agreed with Genesis that God created the heaven and the earth in 6 days, 24 hours and no other wise like millions or billions as evolutionist perceived. The Bible is the truth word of God. “Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth.” 2 The web site www.answersingenesis.org explained many questions and misconception that one may have about Genesis

In Genesis 1:1 it talks about God creating the earth. There is not only evidence all around us of the beautiful things that God has created, but there is scriptural evidence as well. Romans relates to the natural world with a biblical worldview, as well. Romans 1:20 states, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” God has made himself known by the splendor of creation. There is no reason or excuse that one would not believe that God is the creator if the Natural world.…

At first, it may appear as though there are many different explanations of how the earth came to be; however, with a closer look one can see that all explanations have the same message. Science and the Bible, often considered polar opposites, tell the same story just with different words. For instance, Genesis One and The World’s Biggest Membrane describe an ongoing process of creation. It is clear in Genesis One that God did not get it right the first time. After creating man God thinks, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” (2:18-19) Immediately following this thought God forms ‘wild animals’ and ‘all the birds in the sky’, unfortunately, this attempt is unsuccessful. God has no success until he eventually creates a woman from the man, to be his helper. He goes through a process of trial and error, rather than it happening all at once. Therefore, it is clearly evident that some form of evolution took place before the earth was completed for the time being. Lewis Thomas’ ideas parallel this when talking about the atmosphere. He talks about…

An argument to say that evolution and the Big Bang did not occur include, God creating the universe with seven days. In the book of Genesis nothing about an explosion was mentioned and everything was made by God. Many strong Christians chose to take this belief, ruling out any theory of the big bang and everything was created by God. An opposing belief is that the book of Genesis should not be interpreted literally. For example, how could the first two days of creation take place if there was no night and no day?…

The scientific community has been split on many things and the age of the earth is one of the subjects in which it is split. There are some who believe that the earth is billions of years old based on scientific measurements and there are others who believe that the earth is only thousands of years old based off of what the Bible teaches. Radiometric dating is one of the methods that is used to find the age of certain materials on the earth and we will take a look at this method briefly to understand its use with the two groups. The Grand Canyon is also used by both sides to explain the age of the earth but the views between both are very different. Diving into these things will give an opportunity to understand each view in order to believe whether the earth is measured in thousands or billions of years.…

Experiences, circumstances and values shape the way we think, and give us a foundation for what will become our “worldview.” In order to make a decision on what these beliefs are, we can make judgments based on both faith and scientific knowledge. The origin of Progressive Creationism brings lessons from the Bible into balance with evidence from contemporary science. Progressive Creationism makes room for explanations to scientific findings by interpreting a much longer time frame for creation, but it does not negate an God as being present at every stage, and responsible for the miracles of the creation of life. Influences that have led me to consider this position come from family, church, science classes, and my own personal interpretation…

The Origin of Old-Earth Geology and its Ramifications for Life in the 21st Century, by Doctor Terry Mortenson, is a journal article that claims to be about Old Earth Geology history, and perceived consequences that this ideology has inflicted on our society today. In actuality, this article provides little knowledge or background on the Old-Earth theory. This article utilizes most of its text explaining Scriptural Geology, key individuals of Scriptural Geology, arguing the validity of the Young-Earth belief, and closing with an over generalized assessment of Old-Earth theory’s impact on society.…

“There are none who are as deaf as those who do not want to hear,” Barry Leventhal once said this quote (Geisler and Turek). There are so many different creation theories that people have been talking about them for centuries, none have been one hundred percent proven but all are debatable. The problem with most professionals who study creation theories is they are very stubborn. Once somebody has a plausible theory in their head they do not listen to any other theories. This quote by Barry Leventhal perfectly describes this characteristic of the professionals mentioned earlier. They are “deaf” because they refused to hear what others had to say. Many documents were written by these “deaf” professionals about their adopted theory; they…

The difference between religiously based myths of origin and creation stories derived from scientific accounts is that religiously based myths can just be accepted and believed once heard from a person. The scientific accounts claim to be truer and make much more sense. They can be checked and cleared by anyone/anything for proof. The creation stories rely largely on fields of education, like astronomy, physics, geology, biology, etc. The religiously based myths, according to the Nahavo in the beginning, became a story of the world created by the Holy People. It was said that the first man and woman were formed from white and yellow corn ears. To the Ancient Greeks, the birth of Earth and Sky created the universe. For the biblical people and Hebrews, it was told that God created everything, including man who was placed in the Garden of Eden. Overall, many people now believe the creation stories derived from scientific accounts because they have more factual evidence.…

Recently, new speculation has shown that mother earth may in fact not be 4.5 billion years old, as has been taught in schools for many generations. However, young earth creationist believe that the world is only approximately six thousand years old. According to the Christian Bible, if we were to follow the chronology of many of its books including Genesis, Exodus, Galatians and 1 Kings, we would gather a general timeline of when God created the universe and the Earth. No where in the Bible does anyone give an exact date; however, we can get a very close estimate and rough explanation why the earth is not 4.5 billion years old. According to evidence, it is physically impossible.…

The Bible is accepted by Christians as the world of God, and the word of God is accepted as them as being true, therefore Creationism is true in their eyes. According to the Bible, “Then God said, “And now we will make human beings; they will be like us and resemble us… So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female… God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased. Evening passed and morning came—that was the sixth day” (Gen. 1:26).…
