The day started just like any other day, my husband was at work and I was preparing things for our new arrival. My due date was still a week away and I thought I still had a little time so I had kept putting things off. Around noon I started getting an extreme headache, one like never before. I called my mother at work and she told me I should probably go the emergency room.
By the time we arrived at the hospital I was feeling very ill. They checked me and decided to admit me. Once I was in my room the nurses came in and said they had spoken with my doctor and he had told them that I was a week past my due date. I tried to tell them it was still a week away but they insisted on inducing my labor. After a couple of hours I had still only dilated 2 cm so they tried to induce me again. All through the night I only dilated up to 3 cm and I was in serious pain.
The next morning they came in and checked me and said the baby wasn’t coming down into the birth canal. About 15 minutes later they came back in and told me the doctor wanted to do a caesarian. So they whisked me down the hall and started the epidural and prepping me for the birth. My husband was there and we were all ready to go.
Then they started cutting into me. At first I didn’t really feel anything but suddenly the pain was so intense I was begging them to stop. Finally they listened to me and sent my husband out of delivery. They told me that it was rare but I had what they called a hot spot. They then began to put me under.
The next thing I remember is waking up
