The first point I would like to talk about is when is the fetus considered to be a human life? Pro-life thinks that life begins at conception, so abortion is akin to murder as it is to the act of taking a human life. Now the Pro-choice argues that most abortions take place in the first trimester of pregnancy when a fetus cannot exist independently. Both of the side is very strong points but I think Pro-choice has the stronger point. I think the law doesn’t allow abortion after the first trimester.
Second point is the question if abortion is murder or not. The Pro-life says that abortion is murder and that no civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human. Pro-choice says that human life does occur at conception, but fertilized eggs used for in vitro are also human lives. The eggs that are not implanted are often thrown away. So is this murder or not? If not, then why is abortion considered murder. Pro-life has the stronger point here, I think. The fertilized eggs are just eggs, not a fetus. They are not fertilized, so there is no life yet. Is adoption an alternative to abortion? Pro-life says yes it is an alternative. When you think of your baby, you will think of him or her as happy and loved by a mommy and daddy. You will have precious memories of your baby’s face, fingers, toes, eyes and smile. You will know you gave the greatest gift of all - a child, to a couple whose hope and dream was a baby to love. Pro-choice says that adoption is not an alternative to abortion. It solves the problem of a childrearing, but not the problem of unwanted pregnancy. Women still face nine months of gestation and the pain and sickness that comes with it,
