While the cost of space exploration is a controversial issue, our past explorations have had a lasting impact on mankind. If the government were to put more money into space exploration many benefits would be awarded to us. Although the explorations may take an enormous amount of money, time, and research, it also promises us astronomic profits in return. Many of us don't understand all of the benefits that come along with space exploration, and how in the long run, they could outweigh the negative effects. Space exploration needs to expand farther than ever before, in order to gain security for Earth, knowledge, and craving for discovery. A major benefit we are most commonly aware of is how space exploration is helping to ensure the future survival of humanity. NASA is currently in charge of detecting and tracking asteroids that could impact Earth and destroy life as we know it. Some explanations for extinctions and evolution include strikes by asteroids or comets.
