Customized Growth Plan Project Guidelines – Due Thursday, November 14th
The broad objective of this assignment is to review and assess your communication skills, identify gaps that could slow or derail your future success and create a focused development strategy for you to enhance your targeted communication skills.
Each of the communication sessions in the course have been designed to help you move towards the completion of this project. You should be able to directly apply the assessments, discussions, feedback and activities.
The project report is due Thursday, November 14, 2013. A hard copy of your report is due at the start of your scheduled class period. The body of the report is three pages. The project comprises your final individual examination for the course. Below is a review of the core content elements of the report, a recap of the deliverables and a few comments on grading.
CORE CONTENT ELEMENTS
This project is designed to leverage the research in developing executive skills and focuses on the key steps in the skill development process that will provide you the most return on your investment. Each of these steps is an extension of content we have discussed in class, activities you participated in and assessments you completed. Below, the five core sections of the project report are previewed.
I: Communication Skills Analysis. The first section is a detailed analysis of your communication skills and styles (broadly defined) using multiple sources. This primarily includes specific results and deep/insightful analysis from the multi-rater Professional Communication Inventory (PCI) and your assessment of your relational awareness styles (Strength Deployment Inventory). Please be sure to reference and characterize the total number and type of PCI raters and include specific
