3.1 Crime
Crime is an act which breaks the laws of society such as murder, drug trafficking, fraud, corruption etc.

Crime can be defined as a wrongdoing classified by the state or the parliament of the country or law of the land. Each country sets out series of acts (crime), which are prohibited and punishes a criminal of these acts by a fine or imprisonment or both.
Crime has always plagued every society in human history. The history of crime is as old as history of mankind. The first crime was committed by Cain, the first son of Adam and Eve. When he murdered his brother Abel out of jealousy
3.2 Background
With the passage of time crime rate are increase all over the world. Most of the factors are responsible due to the crime rate increase such as Economic, social, family problems, unemployment etc. Pakistan is also facing this bad situation in the society over the period of time. Majority of the population is young people (16-30) which reflects that youth crime rate is very high in Pakistani society (Muhammad Ali 2008).
Pakistan is also facing this condition over the time. Drug crime rate also increase in Pakistan over the 10 years. Statistic shows that 40% in controlled drug addiction between 2002 and 2009 (CSO statistics 2010).
In Pakistan, not only poor and illiterate people are involved in crimes but also the rich, well-placed and literate people are also involved in committing crime. Because they want to accumulate more wealth through illegal ways, these people commit crime on the behalf of political parties, law enforcement departments, so they exploit the whole legal system of Pakistan. The statistics of Crime of Pakistan shows that, Pakistan is not performing well in social, economic, cultural and technological environment (Gillani, Rehman and Gill, 2009)
