The cloudy blue sky and the cool breeze made the smell of wet dog and the Houston city enjoyable. Bark Park is the best place to take my dog to socialize with people and other dogs. There are different dog parks in Houston but no matter what dog park you go to on a cool Saturday afternoon there will always be three types of dogs; the shy and cautious, the outgoing and friendly dogs and the trouble makers. Shy dogs are hard to separate from their owners in a dog park. A shy dog might quietly smell another dog that passes by and sit stiff with their ears pointes back, when a friendly dog tries to play chase. They act awkwardly toward other dogs but after a few hours and an encouraging owner, the shy dog might come out of their shell and play. An afternoon at the Bark Park, a shy dog can either look forward to another two or three hours with strangers or never want to go there again. The majority of dogs at the Bark Park are outgoing and friendly ones. They are just happy to be around other dogs and people, so these dogs always look forward to dog parks.
A friendly dog wants to be the first one to meet and greet new visitors, the first one to catch the tennis ball or swim in the Doggy Pool. They are big overachievers that know the benefits of being lovable friendly creature; the kisses, hugs and belly rubs. These dogs bring and give a happy atmosphere that people and dogs enjoy. If it just one or two there’s always a trouble maker, a dog that plans to pick a fight, likes to aggravate other dogs, snatches tennis balls in midair from a friendly dog, thinks it’s fun to nip a shy one on the tail. A trouble making dog doesn’t look for attention from humans or stays by their owner’s side, they carefully watch other dogs, figuring out what makes them tick. A trouble making dog can make a friendly dog flip out over a tennis ball or make a shy dog have a nervous breakdown. Dog owners can’t really pin point a trouble maker because humans don’t really understand
