All my life i was raised with the knowledge of things happening because of luck or chance. I wasn't ever introduced to church unless i was attending a wedding or a funeral. I never knew who God was or what he did until i started to get away from my home and started to explore my cultural traditions and friends traditions alike. It was one day after school one of my middle school friends asked me if I wanted to go to his church with him. Now at this time, me going to church was unheard of but that day i wanted know what it was like so I said yes. When we arrived that evening i met all the high school kids and middle school kids that went there already, and it was like i was being welcomed to my new home. I mean these kids were ecstatic to see a new guy there going to their church and as soon as I was done meeting everyone there I met the youth pastor, Eric Villareal. This guy was one of the coolest guys ive ever met. He played video games like me, he liked the same foods as me, he also told me how he felt about church. Although his views were astonishingly different than mine, he told me it was okay that i had different beliefs than everyone. He told me that it was okay that I had never really gone to church before and that it was good that I was starting now. He explained that it was okay to be different and thats why he liked me. Till' this day i have not found anybody besides my real mother that has accepted me for the way i am like he did. I can't even find a girlfriend
