The term “Blind Side” refers to Michael Oher when he is playing football, his objective is to guard the quarterback’s blind side. Michael does not understand this at first, however, Leigh Anne tells him to imagine his team as his family. His instinct to protect his family’s blind side is why this movie is titled “The Blind Side”. The title of the film Is also related to Michael’s previous thoughts of being neglected, since nobody liked him for who he truly is, but now everything is blind to him because he has found a family who show love and support, and he has ‘kicked off’ a great football career.

From when Leigh-Anne picked him up from the road to come live in her house, Michael was already very surprised by the care she had taken for a boy she had never met. They purchased him new clothes and a bed. However, they provided Michael love and support. S.J for example, boosted his confidence and made him a much better football player by giving him training sessions. Collins helped him make new friends something that money can’t buy. The Tuohy’s provided everything for Michael and he unexpectedly changed their lives when he became a member of the Tuohy family.
