BUSINESS REPORT (20 MARKS)
A wholesale firm supplying leather goods, established in 1990, has expanded rapidly over the last few years. It was originally located in North Sydney, but outgrew that location and relocated to a new site in an industrial estate in western Sydney.
Since its move it has experienced the following:
• delays in receiving supplies as all supplies need to be delivered by truck
• high staff turnover
• high staff absenteeism
• increasing number of mistakes made by their own delivery staff
• poor stock control
• competitors moving into their market and prospering
• loss of customers.
Write a business report to the owners of this company providing a situational analysis and suggested management strategies that may be used to solve the company’s problems and allow the company to take advantage of market opportunities.
