Instructor Bio
I graduated from Northern Illinois University at DeKalb with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 1993, and acquired a Master of Arts in History from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2002. Over the last several years I have been working on and off toward an additional degree in Education.
I am currently working for the El Paso Independent School District as a classroom instructor, as well as a curriculum writer in US History. I look forward to having you in class.
Course Description
This course provides an overview of the principal cultural, political, and economic developments that shaped Western civilization from prehistory to the Middle Ages. It presents a framework for understanding current social experience by applying historical perspectives to contemporary issues. After the course, students will be able to use historical knowledge to solve contemporary issues.
