Bilbo Baggins, the protagonist of the novel, was one of the many heroes of the quest because he had many of the characteristics that made him a hero, such as his courage and intelligence. Bilbo Baggins wasn’t the only hero of the novel, but he could be considered the most important thanks to the heroic actions that he made through the adventure. First, we are going to begin defining what a hero is and why Bilbo could be considered a hero. A hero also needs to be smart, strong, lucky and most of the times had an extra ability that made him especial or superior from the other people or in this case characters. A hero is not only superior in physical aspects and personality characteristics. A hero also had values and interests that the others don’t
