i adore you
Chauntae Johnson 1/19/14
Alexander School of Excellence 8th grade/210 Homework A role model is a person you adore or look up to. There are many people from your family to famous history to celebrities. Someone who I admire is my aunts Valencia. She is a hard working lady. She is married to style and fashion. She also loves kids. Thus, the following paragraphs will explain my claim. First, my aunt is someone who I admire due to her hard work. She is a social worker for kids, teens and young adults. She loves to help people with their problems, so she can understand her own. She is smart. She has a master’s degree in the social working career business. I admire her because she is attached to her job but can also fill in time to play with me and my siblings. If we have issues she knows how to handle it. Secondly, Valencia is my role model because I love to buy clothes and show off my new outfits but most of all, we love shoes. Valencia and I both wear the same size so whenever we don’t have shoes to wear with our outfits we borrow each others. We have a very tight bond due to our love over shoes. We go shopping like every week and buy shoes or clothes or even maybe both. Our shoe closet is very big and its pack with over 50 pair of heels. Due to our crush on heels we bond together easily. Last but not least, I look up to Valencia because she loves kids. She has taught me a lot about why being wise and having an education in this environment is a big expectation in us young black women. She told me that she doesn’t need kids or a husband to make her happy because she has her family and her job to cheer her up when she’s down. In conclusion, Valencia is my role model. No matter what happens, she always has my back. To be bestie’s with your friends is one thing, but to be best friends with your aunt is awesome. When I get older I hope to have the same bond with my children and future nieces or nephew’s. Who do you look up to?

"An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" or "A Dead Man's Dream" is a short story by American author Ambrose Bierce. Originally published by The San Francisco Examiner in 1890, it was first collected in Bierce's 1891 book Tales of Soldiers and Civilians. The story, which is set during the Civil War, is famous for its irregular time sequence and twist ending. Bierce's abandonment of strict linear narration in favor of the internal mind of the protagonist is considered an early example of experimentation with stream of consciousness.[1] It is Bierce's most anthologized story.[2]…

My Mom is my role model. I guess this is due to the fact that I used to scarcely see my Dad because he comes home really late; he still does, though not as late, while my Mother took care of me ever since she quit the job as the General Manager when I was in 2nd grade. She is the one who is there for me whenever I have a problem, like a robot on standby, but she is also a harsh whip with her discipline though she never hit me. My most notable memory of my Mom is when I sucked at math in 3rd grade. I don't know how to do a problem so naturally, I asked her. However, after she taught the same problem 4 times, I still didn't get it. I was afraid she would get mad, but she didn't and in the end when I finally got it, I asked her why she is so patient. She simply replied "practice makes perfect", an old…

A role model is someone who people look up to as an idol, someone whom many people want to be like, based of his or her good deeds and intentions. Role models are people who have, and continue to do a lot of good in their community as well as other selfless acts; other times we look up to people simply because they are financially successful or athletic. A true role model is someone who you would want yourself or your kids to be like. Not someone who is seen in a negative perspective by the public or society, but rather someone who has done a lot of good for the people around them, and taken steps to make the world a better place.…

The definition of a role model is “a person whose behavior, example, or success is or can be emulated by others, especially by younger people.” I think this is the most accurate description because when you find your role model, you do your best to emulate them in any way you can. Being a role model is the most powerful form of education; we, the young developing adults, would be lost without it. A role model is a person that someone looks up to and wants to be like, either in the present or in the future. It can be anyone; a parent, family member, friend, or even someone off of a movie or book. The tremendous role models that I continue to learn from are my amazing mom, enlightened Coach Bird, and brilliant minded Sherlock Holmes.…

A role model is described as a person who presents a positive influence and is admired by many people. As a coach being a role model can influence the player’s development in many ways, especially when you coach kids to a youth they can often try to be like the coach by imitating the behaviour and conduct of their coach. Coaches who are role models are an inspiration and they can be the player’s source of knowledge. The term role model generally means any "person who serves as an example, whose behaviour is emulated by others". The individual that I chose from a young age to emulate my behavior off of is Spongebob Squarepants. He is a sponge that lives at the bottom of the ocean in a town called Bikini Bottom, where he works at a local burger restaurant called the Krusty Krab. He’s not my hero in the idea that he lives alone and works in fast food for his entire life but because he is the most loyal and determined individual that I can think of. He taught me that no matter how old you are, to never let go of your inner child.…

My aunts Sara and Stella are similar in many ways and I have great admiration for both of them. When I look back on my childhood they were always present and close to me. They were always present giving my mother a helping hand when needed. We were always going to the beach or on family outings together and having so much fun. They are both short in height, have long hair, are teachers and are somewhat strict yet gentle in nature.
