Main aim (systems: pronunciation): By the end of this lesson, Ss will be better able to ask personal questions focusing on using stress, intonation and tone more accurately
Sub aim (skills: speaking): By the end of the lesson, Ss will have practiced the phonological features aforementioned and will be more confident and accurate when asking personal questions at an informal situation (first day at the university)

Anticipated Difficulties

There might be some latecomers
Ss might not understand how to do the task in which they have to mingle as and questions to as many partners as possible
Fatima’s pronunciation isn’t clear enough at all times (stress is sometimes misplaced and she has got some problems with clear articulation of individual sounds)
Suggested Solutions
I will make sure to welcome them warmly and ask another student to tell them what to do
I will demonstrate the activity and ask some ICQs questions
I will make sure she is following the lesson by observing reactions and checking if she is able to accomplish the tasks.
