Women are being judged every day by the way they do things or the way they act. Women’s rights have come a long way since the 60's. Today women express themselves in many ways. Such as they way she dresses or how she presents her self. In Naomi Wolf’s “The Making of a Slut” women were seen as an object rather then a person. In Wolfs essay women are being labeled as good or bad. Wolf explains the sexuality impact that women have upon people that they are being judged by. In the essay Wolf speaks about a girl named Dinah, and how she was outcaste from the women around her.
Women’s sexuality is based on how she approaches herself. In Wolf’s essay she mentioned that Dinah grew into herself before the other girls. She would present herself proud chest out and walk with style. Dinah was named the “slut” of her class, due to her looks and her background. People began to outcast her and didn’t want to be around her for they fear that they to would be named a slut. Women today have different views on who is or is not a slut. Women judged each other by the way they look or what they hear about each other. Women sexuality is something to be proud of you are different by the way you present yourself but by doing so you don’t want to give the wrong ideas to people. People everyday stereotype each other, mostly women do it to each other. When people hear bad things they have this resentful image of you. In Wolfs essay the girls began to outcast Dinah because the way she presented her self they saw her as “Slut.” She didn’t have any female friends but more male friends. In today’s world women who sleep around with different partners are seen as a slut. Although men who do the same thing are not seen that way. How is that different? Men and women have different standards, people see the opposite sex can never have the same
