Introduction
Xitang is a live ancient water town located in Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, China. With its more than one thousand years of history, this town became one of the most famous watery towns in Southern China, which is known as “Venice of the East”. As most of the well- preserved architectural groups constructed during the Ming and Qing dynasties, it is the best place for people to relax for a few days and taste the simple and unsophisticated folkway. Xitang, like a typical Chinese southern girl, soft and serene, is waiting for more and more people to come and give them rousing memories.
