Imperium and Akshayam Three days to remember

For the first time in the history of MDI, Imperium - the cultural fest and Akshayam the sports fest were held together from 15th to 17th November.
It saw the combination of sports, cultural and management events into one big 72 hours extravaganza.
Students from more than 19 colleges poured into the campus and MDI, brightly lit, was ready to welcome them with open arms.

Imperium saw all the academic clubs coming out with domain specific management events like Eleusis by HR Direction and Brand Charades by Marquity. Other events ranged from Nautica – the business simulation game - to quizzes to IPL style cricket bidding events. Students could be seen running around from one venue to the other either managing events or participating in them.

Alongside, the sports events were also going on. With the past reputation at stake, MDI launched its conquest in a total of 18 sports. The events carried on for 3 whole days with matches scheduled choc-a-bloc and players battling it out on the courts till wee hours of the night for a taste of victory.
At the end of the fest, MDI emerged winners in Carrom, Chess, Football,
Badminton and Tennis, thereby becoming the overall winners for Akshayam
2013.
Yet another aspect of the fest were the cultural events which drew people from all over NCR. A huge stage was set up in the Nalanda greens where all the action was centred. Dance competitions, mimes and music competitions were all held here.
