In the past there were clear lines between radio, TV, printed media, and the internet. Now newspapers and TV programs all have their own websites giving up to date news as it happens. Printed media can be accessed on the internet using an e-reader that gives the conveniences of the internet and electronic display technology. Media convergence has affected everyday life in many ways. In the present time it is all about how to do things as easily as possible. Media convergence has given us a way to easily access everything we need in one place, the internet. This is a good thing in many cases. It allows us to stay in touch with family and friends through social media such as Facebook, instant messengers, and e-mail. We are able to run our business much more smoothly also using e-mail and instant messengers with the ability to send out mass memos and such. These are all great things allowing us to be much more productive and globally connected, but it also has its negative side.
