Employee Portfolio
Each of these employees has very different characteristics affect their performance in the organization. Being that Herman Haughton is much older than the other two employees. He has a much mature way if viewing things. Herman Haughton has made a career with our company and he is not looking to go back to school to advance at this point of time. Mark Ivory Haughton very much would like to learn more about his field of work therefore he is taking the time to attend trade courses. Quinetta Pryor would like to move into management after graduating from college. Below are my three suggestions I made to these three employees on their Employee Portfolio.
I recommend that Herman Haughton handle duties in his line of work that may not require additional manpower. We should provide computer and basic IT training to make Herman Haughton a more affective employee.
I recommend that Mark Haughton continue to take his courses. He should pay attention while at work to increase his working knowledge of his duties.
I recommend that Quinetta Pryor continue to take her on-line courses. She should learn to build a better relationship with her co-workers and how to control her attitude. If she continues to take her on-line courses while building a better relationship with her co-workers and how to control her attitude there is a great chance she could move up to a management position upon graduating from college.
Even though these three employees have every different views and attitudes, I believe all three employees are valuable employees to our company. With the right guidance and training all three employees can be a very productive part of our company. As their manager I need to continue to encourage and motivate them to continue to do well for our

The main idea of HPWP, according to Tomer (2001), is not to control but rather to empower the employee to participate in organizational pursuits. It is based on employee involvement and holds all levels of individuals within the organization responsible for improving work methods without the control of a supervisor. This type of managerial style is likely to reduce high turnover due to the appealing nature of the work environment (Tomer, 2001). Another feature of this work design is its emphasis on training and skill development. For this reason, HPWP may be useful to promote technological competence by emphasizing staff trainings with scheduled documentation time. Expectations linked to the results of outcomes associated with documentation as well as patient contact would be reviewed during monthly…

English has always been one of my worst subjects. I would always second guess myself on the correct writing method and what punctuation to use and when to use it. Taking this English class has allowed me to analyze and reflect on my work. My first essay I received a B grade. An option to revise the paper for a better grade was given. This allowed me to see my errors and correct them for improvement. The second essay was my interpretation of the story “Hills Like White Elephants.” Surprisingly there was instant improvement on that assignment. I had received an A grade without any revision needed. That felt really good to know I had the potential to do better. That was my motivation getting through the semester. The progress in my work does show, except on essay #4. I had written a lot of fragment sentences which brought my A work down to a B paper. Honestly I didn’t really take time on that assignment. It was typed up the night before it was do and that was sloppy on my part.…
