I feel the most important thing with a program such as this is time management and getting as involved with your studies and peers as you can. I also feel that this can be difficult at times as well. Without the structure of a classroom and face to face interactions with your peers, it can be difficult to build the same repore with an online program. Lake and von Baeyer's article “Tips for Successful Students" is very helpful in that it defines, in easy steps, how to become a better student. With day to day stressors like a full time jobs, children, and bills staying diligent with school work can be difficult. My positive attitude and organization skills tend to be my strengths and will help me be a successful student. These qualities along with several other, make managing my life and obtaining a higher level of education more attainable.

What I look forward to the most, at the end of this experience is knowing not only am I advancing my career and knowledge, Ill also be providing my family with a better life. My ultimate goal is to have my Acute Care Nurse Practitioner license. At the same time Im most fearful of the stressors in my life and how it will effect my school work. Im working full time and Im the only one working. So now I have to be strong for my family and be a strong student as well. I have very high expectations of myself and not reaching my best is another fear I have for myself. But with the support of my family and friends and a positive attitude, I know I will overcome any obstacle I face.
