This assignment’s goal was to share our point of view towards something that we don’t like, or don’t agree with. A recurring theme in high school, more specifically ours, is people who complain about nothing at all, whether it is students, principles, supervisors and even teachers.
To be clear right off the bat, I would like to clearly state my definition of complaining. To me, “complaining” is when people who give little to no effort, or have no real reason in particular, complain about a little detail that is going wrong in their lives. What I mean is that some people can always figure out a way to make it look like the world revolves around them. Like for instance, yesterday at lunch we were discussing past relationships. A person who wasn’t even a part of the discussion didn’t hesitate to add how life was unfair that her ex was the perfect guy, etc., etc. Yet this person has also said that her current boyfriend was “the perfect guy” and that her 25 ex-boyfriends before were “the perfect guy”. It’s funny how we were all talking about what we missed less about our ex, yet she figured away to rant about her “awful” life.
In regards to school work, or just school in general, a lot of students figure that it should be a walk in the park. Meaning that little to no effort is required to get good grades. The general rule is, you receive the same amount that you give. Therefore, with a lot of effort you will receive good results, but with little to no effort, struggling will be the consequence. I think that’s the biggest thing people don’t seem to understand, that for every reaction, there’s a reaction, as told by Newton. When a person complains that life/school is unfair. He probably means that even though the note he got was justifiable by the effort he gave, but of course they still “deserved” a better grade. When did mankind start thinking that they could inherit things without working hard? Why do people call other teacher’s pet,
