Personal Ethical Statement
After completing the personal ethical lens inventory, my preferred ethical lens results
was relationship and reputation. It is important to have a good relationship with anyone you
are trying to be successful with, along with achieving your personal and company goals. A
good relationship will make a good working environment which then in return make
co-workers want to work for you and with you. Along with a good relationship you will also
need to have a good reputation to be successful in today’s society. If you are known for
having a bad reputation your chances of gaining someone's trust or getting hired will be hard
to do. Showing up to work on time, completing tasks in a timely manner and dressing
appropriately is just a few ways to gain a good reputation.
One of my major blind spot is that I am overconfidence in the process. Sometimes I
believe that a consistent process results in just an outcome for all. I sometimes trust the
process too much and forget that unequal access gives rise to unjust outcomes.
Next, my strengths are carefully thinking and researching all options of the problem.
Being concerned with fairness, and what keeps people connected to others in the community.
Ensuring that the systems and processes be coherent, uniformly followed, and they protect
the least advantaged without creating undue burdens for the rest. One of my major weakness
is that I tend to become isolated because I was not the one that develop process.
Lastly, my primary concern is the well-being of the whole community and ensuring the
community well-being is the best way for individuals to be treated fairly. Being an ethical
person is one with sound character traits and habits of thoughtful reflection who seeks justice
and fundamental fairness in the community. Those who demonstrate strong leadership in
their roles and give everyone in the community a chance to succeed exemplify ethical
behavior.

Is personal responsibility a bygone characteristic of our mothers and fathers? Sometimes, it can feel like this is the case. When an individual has problems plaguing them in their lives, many blame luck, circumstances, or someone else. Many times, these issues have been caused by the individual themselves. We can only hope that, as time goes on, we as a society can realize personal responsibility once again.…

My rationality to determine both, the universal rules that each person should follow, autonomy and the processes that assure fairness and justice for all in the community equality. Because I believe that a consistent process results in a just outcome for all, I sometimes trust the process to much. I forget that unequal access gives rise to unjust outcomes, even when the process itself is fair. I make sure that both my head and heart agree. Although I do a good job of balancing the needs of the community and the rights of individuals, I do tend to be rigid in my application of universal principles regardless of…

A reputation declares what kind of person you are whether it is good or bad. Nobody wants to be known as a discourteous person so how can we be seen as a positive individual? The best solution is to be a kind character. For example, if a boy in high school does not do his work, bullies others and is impolite then others would decide that his reputation would be negative. But if he were to be a strong student, friendly to everyone and was very generous, then he would be recognized as a positive and kind individual.…

2. Reputation must reflect what you’re doing NOW - Automobile manufacturer Henry Ford said, ‘You can’t build a reputation on what you 're going to do.” It’s all well and good that you PLAN to do something great. But if you’re not doing it yet, or (worse) if you don’t follow through, it will hurt you more than if you hadn’t promised to do it at all. In short, your reputation is a result of what you’ve done in the past.…
