For Capital Punishment
How would we feel if one of our close relatives were killed? Would we not want vengeance? Would we not want them to be nothing our world.?
Capital Punishment in Australia was abolished nationally in 1985 but the majority of Australians support Capital Punishment for serious crimes, so why don;t we hang the two depraved killers who kidnapped, repeatedly raped the butchered two school girls? Why is hate filled mass-murderer Julian Knight still alive? The answer because our politicians don't like it and our politicians wont let us vote on it!.
We say we are a democracy. So why don't we not allow Australians to vote on something they insist they want: Capital Punishment For The Worst Killers.
In 2002 Ali Amrozi was executed for his part in the Bali Bombings killing 202 people some of them Australians. The Australian people were asked how they felt about Amrozi's execution they hit back with " I am very happy with the sentence" and " The Death Penalty is good".
Hundreds of murderers upon release have shed blood again. If they had been executed, their new victims would still be alive today. Paroled Murderer Kenneth McDuff escaped execution and upon release killed 12 others. Execution maximizes public safety through incapacitation, it prevents a murderer from ever murdering again, it protects the community from further bloodshed.
Is there a worse fate than an innocent person being executed for a crime he did not commit? Yes there is, it would be worse yet to be an innocent person who is brutally murdered by a murderer whom the state released rather then executed. Forensic science, which include extremely accurate identification of genetic material such as hair, skin, sperm, blood make it near too impossible for a wrongful conviction.
I quote Edward Koch - "It is by exacting the highest penalty for taking of human life that we affirm the highest value of human life."
Capital Punishment is just response
