Introduction
In this lab we tested the duration of impact, the force of impact and the change of momentum of the particles involved in the collision all parameters which we can measure to describe the collision
Equipment list
1.2 meter track system
Force sensor
Motion sensor
Collision cart
Track system
Science workshop 750 interface
Triple beam balance
Accessory bracket\clamp
Block of wood
Procedure
1. Set up data center
2. Place cart 15 cm away from motion center
3. Hit stop after the cart bounces back
4. Record impulse and momentum using data center
Calculations and results
Discussion
The experiment was slightly flawed because of slow reaction times and not perfect equipment, with state of the art equipment it would have been 100% successful. Answer Questions
1. More momentum means more impulse
2. Because it takes time to record impulse
3. It would stop faster and there would be a sharper impulse curve
4. Because the slows down the forward momentum causeing less sevire injuries
5.
Conclusion
In this lab we found out that when the mass of an accelerating object hits a spring the is a rounded curve on the impulse graph. Average benefits from all welfare programs are about $9,000 per recipient. If you converted those programs to cash, it would be more than five times the amount needed to raise every household above the poverty line. We should streamline redundant programs to save money while getting the same or better value. They don’t need all of this money we should cut the amount we give them.
