For my understanding of the school is very diverse and in the classroom as well because I see all different kinds of ethnic group’s instead just one particular group that overwhelm the other ethnic group. In the classrooms I tutor there are a fair separation of different ethnic groups and they are sit with different race in a small table together, also from what I observed from that is they work well together as a team. In their community, I would say the Asian American population would be the largest over the other ethnic groups because for what I observed around the community it mostly Asian, Vietnam, and Hmong stores around that area of the community. But in the schools they really mix the ethnic groups together very well because they don’t have all Asian American or Latinos in the classroom but have equal amount of mixture in the classroom.
There are many difficulties that I encounter in all of the classes I tutor because some students are in lack of the mathematic skills to do some of the problems and some are advance or median level knowledge on how to solve the problem. However, not everyone is on the same page because for ESL students they don’t know these math terms or the wordings that the teachers use so that made it harder for them to fully understand the lecture on that day.
