The following is a list of resources used to stimulate and support visual arts experiences for children aged 0 - 6 years.
- Framed pictures which include flowers, leaves as well as serene and natural objects.
- Aboriginal art work
- Flags on canvas, including Italy, Australia, Aboriginal & Turkish.
- Assorted Shells
- Plastic fruit & vegetables placed in a clear bowl
- Symbolic Asian fan.
The way these resources would be presented would be in accordance with the child's developmental stage and age.
I would ensure all resources are adapted accordingly. The framed pictures including the flowers, leaves and natural objects will be placed on the wall hung up on the wall, for 0- 2 year olds this would be within the child's sight level however not in the child's reach.
For the 2-4 year olds (Erikson - Autonomy vs. Shame & Doubt - Toddlers 2-4 years) this will be just above the child's eye level however they would be unable to reach the framed pictures. For the 4-6 year olds the frame pictures would be at the child's eye level.
The Aboriginal paintings will be displayed in a slight distance, at sight level for the 0-2 year olds. The 2-4 year olds will have them displayed just above eye level. The 4-6 year olds will have them at a close distance at eye level (Erikson, initiative vs. Guilt).
The Italian, Australian, Aboriginal & Turkish flags on canvas will once again be placed on the wall hung up on the wall, for 0- 2 year olds this would be within the child's sight level however not in the child's reach. For the 2-4 year olds this will be just above the child's eye level however they would be unable to reach the canvased flags by themselves. For the 4-6 year olds the canvased pictures would be at the child's eye level at a close distance.
The shells will be displayed in a box on a small table stood in an upwards direction so the 0-2 year olds will be able to see the variety of shells, however they will be unable to touch them. The 2-4
