This play is about a boy named Romeo and girl named Juliet. Their family are mortal enemies so that means that they are always fighting with one another. At a Capulet party Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time not knowing who each other are, until later that night that they are enemies. They begin to fall in love with each other and get married after meeting for one night. Then the drama gets to their head and they kill themselves. In Romeo and Juliet Capulet’s and Montague’s, Friar Lawrence, and Balthasar are responsible for the tragic deaths of Romeo and Juliet.
The Capulet’s and Montague’s are responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet because of the hatred between the families. I believe that their family is to blame because if it wasn’t for their family they would’ve most likely been alive. The family was also to blame because of the disagreement between the families they weren’t able to see that their children were in love with each other and even got married. They were just focusing on their own issue like the Capulet’s on marrying Juliet to Paris. For example “But fettle your fine joints ‘gainst Thursday next to go with Paris to saint Peter’s Church, or I will drag thee on a hurdle thither.” (3.5.154-156). This shows us how Juliet’s father would force her into marrying Paris on that Thursday. The problem is that she is already married to Romeo but they wouldn’t want to hear that.
Friar Lawrence is also responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet because of his plan for them to run away together. Friar Lawrence told Juliet to take a vial that would be making her look dead then she would wake up and run away with Romeo. Since Romeo was banished from Verona he wouldn’t know about the plan that easily so Friar Lawrence was going to mail Romeo the plan. Then things got all messed up with sending the message to Romeo because he was going to see what he thought was a dead Juliet. Here is the plan
