A Day In Kid Hell

Have you ever been to Chuck E. Cheese and not have fun? Because the last time I went for my younger sister's birthday party it was an absolute nightmare. I had never been to Chuck E. Cheese before and had no clue what I was getting myself into. It always looked like a fun place for kids to be nice and share games and be on good behavior but I was wrong. I didn't expect to see a kids everywhere being bad; climbing on games; running around with food hanging out of there mouth; fighting for games, and plenty more good behavior laws being broken. To top it off the service was terrible; there was only about four people working the food, game services, and their other duties they took their time on. At this point I was in such a bad mood because I was hungry and it was hot with all the families being around in this little place. Then to make matters worse my parents volunteered me to watch over my sister's and knew that would be a major hassle. So while I'm watching these little girls I notice them to slowly get worse and worse until they're just like every other kid running around and yelling kid nonsense. Now I'm very irritated and start to wonder how I can get myself out of this. I see my parents having a good time laughing, eating their appetizers, and drinking their drinks it made me jealous and want to walk out. But then my parents look over and the struggle I am going through and decide to relieve me of my duty and let me take one of the cars home. Surprised by what they said I just gave a small smile and took the keys along with some pizza, and made my way home.

It was Adrian’s 9th birthday and all our family, along with Adrian’s friends from school, came to celebrate. It's a tradition for everyone from our family to bring their own homemade food to gatherings. My Uncle Willie brought rice and beans, my Aunt Marce brought her potato salad, and my Grandma managed to make a whole bunch of tortillas. Rather quickly however, everyone noticed that my Aunt Mona wasn't here, as she would usually bring a variety of sweets everyone enjoyed. My Mother told us that, my Aunt won't be able to make it to the party because she came up with a case of shingles and felt it was best to try and avoid contact with others until it goes away. The party felt incomplete without her but we were able to still have fun and celebrate Adrian’s birthday. Thankfully my Aunt made the right call in staying home and everyone started wondering what…

The ones who were able to get seated, didn’t get their food fast enough. So they were displeased. As I observed all customers were no happy. One person at each table were aggravated and it showed on their face. The workers were very nice and pleasant. They would greet and take care of everyone apparently and promptly. When I would look into each of the relationships of each table, I would learn how a son and mother got along. I saw how he cared for her and how well he took care of her. Their nonverbal messages let me know what their relationship was and gave me reassurance that there are great children out…

Throughout the state of Texas, there are many political problems, and they all revolve around one central idea. In Texas's case, some bases of their politics are a mixture between classical liberalism, social conservatism, and populism ("Political Culture and Political Ideology in Texas"). Classical liberalism consists of "doing your own thing", and is elaborated as political freedom as well as civil liberty independence ("Political Culture and Political Ideology in Texas"). Social conservatism is based on the traditional way of doing things, which explains why the Republican Party has had the majority vote, since Texas has always been historically Republicans ("Political Culture and Political Ideology…

Laughing we went to the house next door to them as we rang the doorbell when the door was opened, we all yelled “Trick-or-treat!” holding the candy bowl out in front of her the woman pulled a small gift bag and gave it to Sammy. We were all happily chatting as we walked next door, turning to Nathaniel I said, “You should totally put your mask on to scare them,” He agreed and put his hand in his pillowcase and tried to find his mask. His eyes went wide as he realized that he had lost it. When we rang the doorbell, Mrs. Tracy opened the door, she opened it very slowly, there was smoke leaking out the door and she was wearing a costume and held a bowl of candy. After we had gotten candy from her we began the walk to my house. We stopped at houses along they way, not that many, though when we reached the three-way stop my dad stopped us and said we should go to one house before hand. We all went to that house and got even more candy. Then, we walked over to my house. We rang the doorbell and my dad threw open the door and grinned and held out the bowl of candy. “Trick or treat!” we all chorused and held out our bags for candy. My dad laughed and dumped the entire bowl of candy into our…

I was attending a birthday party, a very big birthday party; my entire kindergarten class was there on a Saturday so of course Chucky Cheese isn’t exactly empty. Along with the dozens of kids, there were also dozens of parents running around chasing their children while others are chit chatting sipping on some soda and not paying any attention to their children at all. My parents got caught up in conversation with another parent and I took the opportunity to explore Chucky Cheese by myself. I had managed to stray away…

While observing I saw that each of the 10 adults in the building, compared to the 32 kids, were walking around each part of the room checking on all the kids and not standing still and talking to each other. Also the teachers and staff members were having eye to eye conversations with all the kids and tried to engage the other kids who were a little bit shy into the conversations. Most of the conversations that I heard were about what they were going to be for Halloween, how old they are, and if they have any brothers and sisters. This part of the lunch I thought was special because the kids are able to have a connection with the teachers that sit with them but also have their friends around them so they are not alone. After lunch each kid waited in a single file line to use the bathroom to wash their hands before they could go play with all the toys. This part is important because it teaches the kids to be sanitary by washing their hands after they eat but also keeping the lunchroom and toys clean, especially because this was a day before the preschool shut down for having hand foot and mouth and…

Finally, the day came. I was really excited. But as soon as my parents got into the picture, the excitement changed into irritation and anger. I had always been a very overprotective child of my parents, which really bothered me a lot because most of the time I did not get to do things that other teenagers did. So, when they got to know about our plans for the evening, they really objected it. They kept on saying that it was not safe to go out late night especially for girls and it could get really dangerous and we could get into trouble. They were trying their best to stop me from going out but at that time, I did not listen to any thing they had to say. The reason for it was that I had enough of the restrictions that were made on me. I was tired of being overprotected. I wanted to do what I felt like doing and not what my parents told me to do. Besides it was New Years Eve and it was not like I was the only person who was going to be partying out, everybody party's out on New Years Eve. Nevertheless, after listening to the fact that I will be grounded for a month, I banged the door and left my…

When I was younger there were many slang words I use to say. Slang words were used basically every time I opened my mouth. Slang words were a part of my vocabulary. Some of the slang words for example were, Aiight, yall, fasho and whats popping. These words were mainly used around close friends. When you greet someone you say to them “whats popping.” Also when you’re talking about more than one person, that’s when you use the slang word “yall.” The other two slang words can be used for the same thing. If I was to ask one of my friends to bring me something back from the store, he or she can say “aiight” or “fasho.”…

When I get home from school, my parents are all dressed up. It looks like they're going to a wedding so I ask, what's the need for the nice outfits? And they reply by saying they're going on a date and have a babysitter coming to watch over me. I didn't really like that I had to be home with a babysitter because I am already 12, but I didn't complain because I knew they don't want to have to cancel all because I'm having a fit. About 30 minutes after they leave I see the babysitter pick up the phone and start crying.…
