Sending and receiving emails was my daily activity. I would choose merchandise to purchase but beforehand, I would send questions for details and later I would receive the answers. Emails are fast, convenient, it increases efficiency, reduces use of paper and cost. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, these are mainly free sources to exchange emails.
I also used cellphone and telephone to speak with customers. I would send and receive small text messages, but my favorite part was verbal communication. I thought it was more effective sometimes than written communications.
I sometimes held skype conferences with people from whom I would purchase gem stones. I wanted to see and compare the gems with each other since all of them were different colors and shapes. I also used to skype to my customers to give them more design options before I made any jewelry for them. It worked for both parties very well. It was ability to “meet” my customers and felt like face-to-face communications. This type of approach speeded up the decision making process.
I never used instant messaging because I was the only person dealing with everything: ordering, shipping, packing, making jewelry, handle customer service. Technologies have huge benefits in our life, without them, we would never be able to keep up with globalization. Using technologies for communications saves money and time because it quickly moves information around the globe. We pay to have internet service available in our workplace but it still feels free to send and receive emails because it is much cheaper than making international phonecalls. Videoconferencing also saves flight time and money since we don’t have fly around. Other than business, technology helps my family to come together. Education become more convenient because I can earn degree without leaving home. We shop, bank and communicate 24/7.
We need to appreciate technology and same times be careful with viruses, fraud and identify theft and hacking.

Now, people are able to do many things through the Internet in just one window and with a simple click. For instance, many people are paying their bills on line. Instead of having to go to the local business office and having human contact, now they pay through the Internet. Another good example is education. Many people aren't able to attend a normal school schedule because of their indisposition of time; therefore, online education is an excellent way to stay in school. Now people can create their own schedule and learn from their computer to continue their desire of education. Messages are also a good example in how people communicate these days. Currently, e-mail is a very fast way that people use to have contact with their family or friends by just clicking "send" and being answered in less than a minute. Most people prefer to use e-mail instead of sending a letter by posted mail because they would have to put the message in an envelope, buy a stamp, take it to the post office and wait more than one minute to be received. However, the people that use often the Internet know that the Internet is currently taking away human contact because of its convenience. People forget that it is important to keep human contact because society needs each other to fulfill their needs, for example its smell, its touch, feelings, sight, and many other…

Before text messaging people would write letters, call each other, and a more recent way of communication is email. All of these were obviously ways to communicate faster and more conveniently. Letters are a long process, you have to write the letter, find an envelope and stamp then take it to a post office or some where that has a mail pick up. After all that you wait for a response and then that person has to go through all that too then depending on the distance it could take a while. Then there is the telephone a great communication device. You grab the phone dial a number and then you talk to some one (if they answer). That’s one of the easiest and fastest ways to communicate with some one. Email is more recent and it’s just like letters only faster and online. Each one of theses things were invented for an easier and faster way to communicate. Text messaging is a newer faster way of communicating.…
