The Benefits of Physical Activity for Physical & Mental Health

Physical exercise is a very important part of our lives. Everyone should be physically active at least 5 days a week for an hour. There are so many benefits you receive from even the simplest physical activities. There are physical benefits as well as mental benefits to exercising. The reason why everyone should be physically active is because America’s the fattest country. Obesity and being overweight is becoming more and more of a problem. If we don’t start fighting this problem then it will overtake us and it will eat away our population. It is said that obesity is the “new” tobacco. All we need is a little inspiration and time. One of the many physical benefits you get from being physically active is that you’ll feel so much better about yourself. Your confidence will go up and you’ll want to show off your new body. You’ll also be stronger so when you climb all the way to the 3rd floor from the 1st floor, you won’t be out of breath. The more you exercise, the more likely you are to do it regularly. You don’t have to attend a gym to be physically active. You can go for an hour power walk around the neighborhood and you’ll burn tons of calories. By being physically active, you are benefiting your mental health because if you don’t exercise, you will mentally put yourself down. Most people would feel happier if they were healthier and it all comes from how you mentally feel. Exercising isn’t about how strong or weak you are, it’s about how much you can mentally push yourself. If you tell yourself you can do it, you’ll most likely accomplish your goal. Be mentally
