“The Love of Money, is the root of all injurious things”
Out from this verse in the bible 1 Timothy 6:10- it says that the love of money causes us human to suffer and can be also the root of all evil. In the bible, wealthy King Solomon identified three kinds of injurious things that often happen to people who love money. First is worry, “The plenty belonging to the rich one does not permit him to sleep.” (Ecclesiastes 5:12) second, Dissatisfaction: “A lover of silver will never be satisfied with silver, nor a lover of wealth will income.” (Ecclesiastes 5:10) and the third is the Temptation to break the law: “The one hastening to get rich will not remain innocent.” (Proverbs 28:20) This verse I have given was in accordance to the prologue- The Pardoner’s Tale. It is closely similar to the three rioters who found out a chest of gold under the oak tree which end up betraying each of them and end up dying because of it. Although on the other hand, the bible also states that “Money is a protection.” (Ecclesiastes 7:12) because, money is the only thing that helps us to take care of our family. To buy the things we need for us to survive in our day to day basis such as the food and medicine. But the important things for us to remember, as a human- we must limit ourselves from dealing with money and use it wisely.
As for the pardoner, he is good at preaching, but in his prologue, he tells the people that he only does preaching to win money, berating the people for their sinfulness so they’ll be more likely to buy what he is preaching even though we knew it that it is only bribery. He carry out fake relics to some people so that those people will be sorry for their sins and be going to him- to pray and gave the preacher the money he wishes to have. Loving of money is really the cause of all injurious things, well in fact, bribery and lying is one of the
