Time Management In Randy Pausch’s lecture he states about time management is that time is what everyone needs. He starts off by saying that time is money, it’s always good to turn money into time; for example when you need to cut your grass, you can pay someone to do it. Right there you just gave yourself some free time. Randy also says in his lecture that being successful doesn’t make you manage your time well; managing your time well makes you successful. It’s always important to do the right things, not the wrong thing beautiful. Randy, then starts to also state the life advices; planning, to do list, and hard management time ( what we need). What I did like about what Randy Pausch stated was that when he started to state the life advices he explained what we should do. Planning is always good, it’s good to always plan each day, each week, and each semester. To do list is as well good to do; Randy explained that breaking things down into small steps helps a lot. As well do the ugliest things first. The hard management time is what we mostly need. We need our creative time, we need to find our lonely time where we can just relax and do something we like. What I mostly liked about what Randy Pausch said was when he stated Alf Weaver, it was what Alf tought him, “Specific thing to do, Specific date/time, and Specific penalty or reward for them.” It’s the most easiest way to manage time for others. I can relate to anything that Randy Pausch stated. When he talked about procrastination, that was when i really did relate to it. He started to say why we did it, he said we did it because we were scared of failing and doing bad, that is one thing I always do. Another thing that he stated which I relate to was when he explained what to do when you have gaps during your classes. Randy said; “ When you have gaps during your classes; it would be good to create a false class so that you actually get things

    The Known World

One scene in The Known World depicts an odd event. While many scenes show brutality, injustice, humility, and love, a small scene where one slave is good to his master carries a different message. This section of the novel explores a relationship of two characters that are arguably unimportant. I would not say that the novel needs these two characters to be a success. The slave or master alone does not play a major role in the plot, but together they display a profound message. It is for this reason that makes this short sub chapter intriguing. If these two characters have such a little impact on creating this story and an impact on others, than why are these particular persons here? Edward P. Jones writes about a relationship of a master and a slave that has grown strong, and though the relationship is bound with nothing but obedience and gratitude, the security of the relationship has made the master weary. Here Jones illustrates how the master, Clara, and the slave, Ralph, have created their own world blurring the line of separation between master and slave.…

John Smiths writings are not credible. There are too many parts in his recordings that do not make sense that lead me to my decision. The accounts of Pocahontas are a major factor that many say make Smiths works not credible. When John Smith was kidnapped by the King of the Powohatan Tribe, Pocahontas’ dad, they were about to kill him then and there. Side note: they kidnapped Smith just to kill him instead of killing him during the battle between Smiths men and the Native Americans. Why would they spear Smith’s life after they killed all his men? Anyways, right before the King & his men were about to kill him, weapons drawn, this young girl jumps in and shields Smith from the men. “Pocahontas with no appeal or petition got his head in her arms and laid her own upon his o save him from death.” She happened to be the king’s daughter. She was so brave that she risked her own life just to save a stranger that was an enemy in her father’s eyes. But John Smith does not give us any time of reason why Pocahontas did this for him because when Pocahontas covered him they didn’t kill him. Later in the story he records how after he was released, Pocahontas was providing him with food and other things so he wouldn’t starve to death. But yet again Smith doesn’t record why she is doing this for him, making a reader like me suspicious about his credibility. Maybe she had a crush on him but I don’t think they were secretly in love because she was probably too young for him.…

I have since learned that I have to plan everything I do in order to fit everything that needs to be completed by a certain time into my busy work schedule. There are several forms of time management plans that I am in the process of trying that I feel has helped me and will continue to be of an asset to me as I strive to reach my goal of obtaining a Masters degree.…

A hero is a person who’s responsible and a good role model. A hero is also someone who has done something meaningful in his/her life. It is universally accepted that both Paul Rusesabagina and Oskar Schindler are examples of extraordinary people who accomplished incredible feats by standing up for good in the face of evil, such as crimes against humanity and genocide. They were men that helped people other than their selves and actually cared what happens to those other people. They were not selfish and what they did saved and changed many lives during the Rwandan Genocide and the Holocaust. Both actions were intelligent and very brave. They could have, at any moment, been killed but were determined to help others.…
