There are constant debates on why did the South lose the Civil War. The Civil War ended 150 years ago but that has not affected historians to question the outcome of the war for the Confederacy. According to Gary Gallagher, many historians work backward starting from Appomattox to explain the failure of the war. He continues by stating that those historians claim the reasoning for the failure was caused by the lack will to win the war by the Confederates. Gary Gallagher disagrees with these methods historians use. Gary Gallagher believes that the best way to understand why the Confederates lost the Civil War takes a different approach. This is Gary W. Gallagher’s thesis in his The Confederate War is “Why did so many Confederates fight for so long? Until this question receives the detailed attention long accorded the first, the history of the Confederacy will remain imperfectly understood” (17).…

As you may have recently seen/heard, the war started and lasted abruptly, the bomb has obliterated the entire city of St. Louis. And I am sure you have heard of the fireman that made our town famous. Yes, the one about Sir Guy Montag, how the “fireman” had to burn his own house down for having books in his home. The rare thing about that incident was what happened after his house was burned. He burned a man and killed the other two firemen. That was the thing that set me slim. The talk in this district is mad. You almost can bet what it’s about. It is either about the fireman who set the world on fire or the bomb that hurt everyone. The survivors are going insane! There is no order in this chaos we call a town! And I, as Captain Beatty’s replacement, have a few simple proposals as in how to restore the peace to this mad house I call home. There will be no more book burnings for this town. Not only will the books be kept safe, but they will be cherished. First off, I am going to make an organization called Books for Homes. Everyone will help restore the homes that were destroyed in the horrible tragedy. Each home and family will have one book. Everyone in the household will remember that one book and have it passed down to their family and so on and so on. Everyone will have a shred of knowledge of the past and will have some type of understanding of the times before. Secondly, there will be a town cleanup for a week. Our town was already dead before the bomb; it passed away from lack of knowledge and the truth. The bomb just got rid of the carcass of the town like a vulture on a dead body. I will help this town resurrect from the ashes of what once was to what it could be. Next everyone in the town will have a food drive to help feed the families that lost everything. This town will make a complete 360 ° flip. Everyone will have to act as one and unit to make the change. It takes one step to cross the…

Applied Research Technologies, Inc. was one of the giant technology companies in the world grown through the merger and acquisition. It consisted of nearly 60 profitable business units generating $11 billion revenue in 2006. The Filtration Unit was part of the business ART acquired from an oil and gas services company in 1996. Its core product line was in mobile water treatment that allowed oil and gas exploration companies to meet government water recycling requirements at well heads and drilling sites. Unfortunately, the Unit had faced two failures developing its mini oxidation systems. By 2006 it was losing around $6 million annually putting the credibility of the Unit on the line. The first launch of the new generation product was aimed to provide safe drinking water to developing nations. However, this attempt faced a failure because water had a detectable odor. The second generation product was aimed at a potential market of military use and NGO disaster relief activities. Though the new product fixed the odor…

The primary idea that necessitated the inception of this student online registration system was to ease the burden of students travelling long distances to the school offices which maybe several kilometers away. Lack of secure and well-coordinated record management was another challenge. Student information was manually recorded by the clerks and later stored in flat files inside a fire proof cabinet. Over time, the workload has increased tenfold. This is partly due to population increase of the students. As at now the total population of students stands as at 1000. Day-in-day-out the common scenario at the school administration offices can be clearly describe as…
