Timken Art Museum Experience Essay Example

Timken Art Museum Of the many art museums in San Diego, California, I decided to visit the Timken Museum. It is located in Balboa Park. My trip to the museum was great. There were many events going on. Instead of the trip being boring and plain, it was cheerful and fun. The Timken Museum was very nice and had many great works of art. While being there, everyone got to individually look at the pieces of art. It was not a tour like how you usually see in movies. I got to look at each painting for as much time as I wanted. In my opinion, that made the experience much better. For every painting, I got to observe everything and look at every detail. There was no one telling me to move along if I was staring at a painting for too long. The museum permanently displays the Putnam Foundation Collection. The primary focus of the collection contains European old master paintings, Russian icons, and American art. Even though the museum contained pure paintings, there were many things I liked about it. For example, many of the paintings were of women. It was nice to see how women were thought of profoundly to be used in paintings. Now that these paintings are quite popular, it makes the idea even better. The colors used in the paintings were incredible. They looked vivid and powerful. The only thing I did not like was how some paintings did not have their name clearly displayed. It was either faded or just not there. The architecture of the museum was nice. The inside, as well as the outside, gave it a great impression. The inside of the museum was very clean, neat, and organized. There was a great amount of space for people to roam about. On every corner, there was an employee ready to answer any questions. Also, when moving to each section, the employee would give you a description of the type of art you were about to see. When finished observing every painting and about to leave, the employees standing at the exit would ask about your experience and would
