On Number 1 is Institute of Business Administration - IBA. The institute is the oldest business school outside North America established in 1955 by the world famous Wharton School of Finance, University of Pennsylvania; later, the University of Southern California set up various facilities at the Institute and several prominent American professors were assigned to teach at the IBA. It is the first institution in Pakistan to become partner of CFA Institute, SAP University alliance and other such ventures.
2. Institute of Business Management (IoBM)
Formerly called CBM, IoBM is the second best business school in Karachi. Though some ratings put Szabist on number 2 but i will IoBM due to its environment and research facilities. It is the only Pakistani business school with a full fledged research program and has been granted a charter by a legislative Act of the Sindh Provincial Assembly. IoBM is a fully HEC accredited degree awarding institution and publishes the country's only business research journal Pakistan Business Review.
3. Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST)
SZABIST is one of the top 20 business schools from Asia recognized by Business Week. The institute is also rated among the best Science and Technology and MBA schools in Asia by the CNN-Time publication Asia week. In addition, Asia Inc (a leading Asian Magazine) has ranked SZABIST among the top MBA Schools of South Asia in its Asia's Best MBA Schools Survey in 2003 and 2004.
4. Iqra University
Our Jury has placed Iqra University on Number 4. Initially known as "Asian Management Institute", the institution was renamed later to "Iqra university" on the request of the then governor of Sindh at the time of recognition from Sindh government.
