“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” This is quoted from a great scientist Albert Einstein. Peace seems to be one important thing that we need nowadays. It’s not the power that makes a person a better one but it’s the peace in his heart that would lead him to a brighter future.
Peace, for me, has to start within ourselves, as human beings of this world. We need to achieve an understanding of ourselves, finding and seeking our own inner peace and sharing it in relationship with others. Understanding ourselves better, searching within to find right thinking, and right attitudes as a basis for right conduct and action in support of the right cause. We should have inner peace which can be learned by simply observing the joy of the people around us especially the young ones; on how they explore the world out of their curiosity; their awareness of the simple things; and their great capacity to enjoy life as reflected in their spontaneous smiles and laughter. Yes, peace begins with a simple smile that will show the world how grateful a person is. Having peace has something to do with having respect for ourselves. We need to pay respect for self to establish respect for others.
If we had already established peace within ourselves we have to share it with other people in our society. We have to reach out to others in a spirit of understanding, acceptance, and trust to achieve harmony within our families and neighborhoods, and particularly among our fellow youth. We need bridge the gap within ourselves and the people surrounding us so that we may be united for one goal. We must think not only our own selves but also other people.
To completely achieve peace within ourselves and with other people, we must be also at peace as citizen of one country. As said, peace is recognition of the inter-connectedness of all things. So as one nation we must build a society where every individual has the responsibility not
