Pool Parlor‚ by Jacob Lawrence is truly a unique piece of art. Lawrence’s work showcases a 1940’s pool hall in Harlem‚ New York. This painting intrigued me in several ways; as a young child‚ I spent a large amount of time in pool halls due to my family being national competitive pool players.
