A writer has various reasons of portraying social groups in different ways. Firstly it gives structure to a text. It divides the characters and can give the audience a particular tone and mood for one group and totally different tone and mood for another. In this way the audience gets exactly the “right” and “wrong” feeling which the writer wants.
