Overall‚ I thought that the film Castaway had an excellent plot line and was well casted. But‚ there were scenes in the movie that I would change. First‚ I would like to point out that there was great foreshadowing in the beginning with the farm and the girl who made the wings. I was not expecting Chuck to actually go there in the end. One thing I would have liked to see in the last scene of the movie‚ when Chuck actually meets the girl living on the farm‚ was him actually going back there. The end

The movie Castaway is mostly over the topic of communication‚ symbolism‚ and the use of nature good and bad. Communication is key in this day in age‚ but most of the time it fails. Symbolism is also important in this movie‚ it’s everywhere the sailing pictures at the beginning of the movie and then he gets off the island at the end by sailing. Chuck in the movie uses nature a lot he uses trees to make rope‚ good‚ uses that rope to try to kill himself‚ bad. At the beginning of the movie the plane

Throughout the novel Lord of the Flies and the film "Castaway" one of the main themes is most certainly seen as isolation‚ both social and physical. Isolation could be defined as the "feeling of being alone‚ or disliked‚" as well as "a state of separation between persons or groups‚" which most often results in open conflict. Both of these definitions are evident between the two stranded island tales. The isolation throughout these stories may be seen as both positive and negative in different situations

Overall‚ Castaway was a decent movie. There are two things that I would change with the movie. The first thing I would change would be the lack of dialogue‚ and the only reason this film was able to get a good rating with such little dialogue was due to the fact that Tom Hanks had the star role. I think that the movie would be better if we were able to see more of the movie where Chuck is talking with Wilson. We would also be able to see his struggle to keep his sanity‚ as he was stranded on an island
