Our Saturday Activity Bridges! Jazmine Gomez My experience on the last field trip honestly made me very pensive and actually forced me to evaluate the different meanings of a “bridge.” Never had I thought of a bridge anything more than JUST a bridge. Simply something I or anyone else would use to cross over from one point to another...simple. When the topic of a bridge was brought up the class before our fieldtrip I indefinitely didn’t really focus my attention onto what Professor Padilla

It was March 15‚ 1997. The time too early to remember. What was clear however‚ was the fact that I was soon going to be on my own in a country where I did not know the language or the people that I would be meeting there and staying with. The adrenaline rushed through me as I packed the last of my things and ran out of the door. I closed the door to my house and jumped in the car. The idea of leaving America and going to Japan seemed to really not have hit me yet‚ but now that I look back I know

A Trip To Panama City Day 1: We arrived at Omar Torrijos airport via American Airlines early in the afternoon. We purchased our required tourist cards (3 balboas‚ as US dollars are called in Panama) at the airport‚ then caught a taxi for the 18 mile ride to our downtown hotel. The ride in the battered‚ un-airconditioned car was rather expensive (30 balboas)‚ but the driver spoke English and was very friendly. We arrived at the hotel and checked in. While my dad was checking in I bought a guidebook

But the time they spent skiing on the cold mountain slopes
