From watching the documentary‚ The Interrupters‚ it brought to light the violence going on in Chicago with gang activity. The documentary follows members of the organization CeaseFire‚ these members go into gang neighborhoods in Chicago to try and stop violence while promoting peace. A vast majority of the members of CeaseFire are people that have grown up in this lifestyle and this culture.
