Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie 1 Chair unquestionably was meant to please the eye‚ not the body. In four steps‚ we made a complete analysis of the chair‚ including adjusting it to meet ergonomic standards as knowledge has advanced. We began by making a simple full-size prototype with accurate angles and dimensions. We picked out an old chair that was at our dispense and were able to disguise it as the Robie 1 by attaching a long piece of cardboard with vertical dal rods to simulate the rungs in the

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE FOR AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING What can’t be achieved by the person who is determined? This has been the motto of my life since my childhood. I do believe that if one sets one’s goal high and tends to endeavor inflexible then one’s feet will definitely carry to one’s destination no matter what. It is this belief that has propelled me throughout my academic career in all my accomplishments till today and fuels my passion to study further. My strong and determined will and fervor is

in the timeline of design. But I believe that the form of a design can help the functionality of the product. There are a number of aspects to take into consideration with this subject‚ what is the product? Is the form a part of its function? The ergonomics of a product and how are people intended to interact with the product? An example of how form helps function could be: you have a chair that was simple and functional in design‚ but would it be comfortable? Wouldn’t a chair design that has taken

Question 1 i) The current state and extent of universal design in the interior design practice. The 20th century had brought major social changes with respect to civil and human rights. Medical advances during this period meant that the surviving an injury or illness was far greater. Many people were living longer and the average life expectancy of people with severe impairments was increasing too.
