    In the novel To Kill A Mockingbird the mockingbird symbolizes innocence. There are three people that are mockingbirds. They are all innocent in a way‚ but are harmed or treated unfairly. In the novel Maudie Atkinson said “... it is a sin to kill a mockingbird.” (pg. 119) It is a sin to kill a mockingbird because they don’t do anything but sing for us.
