of the Shadowhunters would not capture my imagination the same way it did when I was sixteen reading City of Bones for the first time. While I enjoyed The Infernal Devices‚ it did not live up to the first trilogy for me. It seems as if The Dark Artifices is going to be the same way‚ thoroughly enjoyable but not as good as the original. While my opinion might change as the other novels come out‚ Lady Midnight was a great read‚ but just didn’t hold me in the way that The Mortal Instruments did.
