    skills. I chose this book because Batman is my favorite character and I think that the graphic novels along with books paint a broader picture of the character. Batman is after all‚ the world’s “best detective” in the DC Comics world. The story starts in the cave with Bruce Wayne’s grandfather teaching his son Thomas Wayne to be a man by shooting the creatures of the night “bats” with a gun (Hickman‚ 2012‚ pp. 1-5). The story is definitely for avid fans of Batman‚ but can be enjoyed by newcomers.
