If Marks and Spencer did not follow this law then their customers will not be fully protected. Also any information about Marks and Spencer’s customer can only be kept for a specific period of time. If Marks and Spencer’s don’t comply with this law then they will start to lose customers as all customers want their details to be protected as they don’t want their credit cards to be stolen etc
