There isn’t really many comparing factors between the book and the movie but some are that Hannah opens the door to let in the prophet Elijah in both the book and the movie. Hannah tells stories to the women and children in her barrack in both the book and the movie and I think that those stories is probably what kept most of them alive throughout the movie.
